November 19, 2020

 This week was Métis Week. Mr Huppie visited all the classrooms and taught us many traditional teachings. One of our favourite activities was learning the Red River Jig:

In social studies we have learned about three arctic animals: the walrus, polar bears and caribou. Ask your student what they learned, and what was their favourite animal to study.

In math we are wrapping up learning about measurement and data analysis. Here are some action photos of us using manipulatives to sort by two categories:







In Language Arts we read the book, The Giving Tree: A Metis Retelling of a Traditional Story. This inspired our writing practice this week.
